"I don't know if Noront has anyone in the PR Dept. now or not, but things have surely changed for the good if WES is responding to emails himself. I do think we should have a Public Relations Dept. with all the news that is soon to come, I hope."
Jackie, agreed that every company should have an Public Relations Dept with people having good marketing skills...and know how to write effective NRs.
At least, the company should have a competent exec. assistant to take phone calls and to reply to routine/easy questions. CEO should be consulted for answers that are complex and may have "political" implications, but the exec. assistant can consult and relay the CEO's answers to the public. This is faster than waiting for the CEO who has more important stuff to do (like steering the "ship").
Just a few days ago I had a similar case for which the exec. assistant of another company could not answer the questions, so she promply forwarded the questions to the CEO. She was good to inform me of what she had done. But after 2 days (patience is not my virtue) I contacted her again, with some hint that she could talk to the CEO and the tech guys for the answers. She did, and I got the answers within a day. Apparently, she was quite happy with the outcome as well, since she probably found out that it was not too "dangerous" to take the extra steps for a good resolution.
The point here is that if you have the will to do it, you could (perhaps) move mountains, at least some little hills?
