"Before this is all over we will have another Caledonia situation because of the coward we have as a Premier."

Perhaps , if we talk enough about it, they will get further encouragement, and turn it in another Caladonia. But at the moment, nothing could be further from a good description of our situation. Read and listen.

Cliff's announcement this morning describes it best. Everyone wants this to happen. The only arguments are who is going to get the most benefit from it. The arguments are not so much about who owns the land, and who can use it, but more towards who will get the greatest benefit from Hydro and year round road access. The only way either of those are coming to fruition is through development of the area. Next on the list is jobs for the locals. If ongoing discussions can make these three things happen. there will be much greasing of the wheels. THere will always be sabre rattling from others further from the centre of activity, but in the end it will account for nothing.

There is much ado about owning the railroad or roadway, but why not ask. In any negotiation I have been involved in, you ask for double what you hope for, and expect somewhere in the middle.

My optomism took a huge leap forward today, for whatever that is worth.
