Heck, I am a Frenchie AND an OIRISHAN, plus an irty bit injun, Mohican, fighting words in certain circles, yet, to me, they just roll off, since it is the INTENT not the words themselves that make them complimentary or insulting. Sheesh I have even been called a Reincarnated Jesuit for finding the Legendary Tayopa mines, when no one else could for over 400 years.

Just think of the many times that you have heard the term 'Yank' in disgust or admiration, even to the recent WW-2 war, yes, I am one also, now 4 negative groups.

As a matter of fact unitl just recently the word Britlander or it's derivatives, was a source of terror, Pride, or just plain disgust.

As for being born here in the Americas, no human group was ever started here in the Americas, they all came from Africa presumably, so the mere fact that they were born here before our present generations should have no bearing on the issue.

Yes, they were in 'possession' of the lands taken from who knows how many other tribes or people over time. In the Yank north western states they found a skeleton of a caucasian which predates any Native groups by thousands of years, so presumably the more recent ones had simply killed them off and took possession of what ever lands and females that they had.

However the Local Indians immediately took legal proceedings to hide the bones as ancestral since the fall out would eliminate any rights for them to have a claim on the US and of course eliminate the handouts.

So, I would say that the present possession of land boils down to whoever won the constant wars, Legal or physical.

Frankly I am in agreement with their prsent rumblings, they, just like us , want to gain all that they can from the Stock & the ring of Fire,, and who can blame them, I certainky don't.---- as long as they don't enroach upon 'my' potentiqal earnings. snicker.

The serious problem that we both face is the same with the Negro problem in the US, and now increasingly the Hispanic groups also. Most just settle into the low income gtoup with guaranteed benefits wthout working.

This, unfortunately, creates a huge social trap, why go to work for $ !-200 more than they presently receive while just sitting around?

Then of course there are the Atavistic ones like me, that just plain enjoy the bush and want to keep it that way. so how will we handle it equitably for all sides. Me? I want $500 Noront stock 'and' an unspoiled wilderness full of hungry giant skeeters. sigh.
