McGunity in talks with Harper on RoF

Just watched a scrum with reporters on Cable Pulse News during the announcement of the extension of Hwy 407 in Toronto. McGuinty said he met with the PM yesterday and sparked Harper's interest and invited the Feds to share in development of the infrastructure (roads, electricity and capacity building within aboriginal communities) to exploit the opportunity of the Ring of Fire. This was in response to a reporters question about Tim Hudak current visit to Alberta to explore the economic opportunities for Ontario. McGuinty was arguing that Ontario had huge opportunites for economic development without going outside the province .

This is encouraging..obviously a talking point that McGuinty wanted to get out and not an off the cuff comment. Nice to see the RoF discussion beign raised publically at the highest political levels.
