Message: Environment Canada Rises Alarms on Chromite Mining Development in Ring of Fire

Stratopod, With just a very cursory look into chromium 6, otherwise known as hexavalent chromium, it would appear from one study that 31 out of 35 water samplings from large US cities contain chromium 6.These are places that are not in the chromite mining business as you can well imagine. I would be surprised if testing of water courses near any of the chromite beds around the ring of fire, does not already contain hexavalent chromium. I am sure it has been leaching into ground waters since time began. The ministry of EVERYthing for sure will get involved and from first hand previous dealings with the MOE, if you think the FN will hold things up they will not compare with the hoops this government agency has in store. The worst with them is they don't tell you up front what needs to be done to put a plan together. They let the client forward plans on what they propose then tell them that it is not what they want so re do it. They need to show they deserve to have their high paying jobs. Don't get me wrong about the environment, it is most important, but lets get on with it expediently and move ahead. JMO. the deputy
