Message: Notice of eviction to RoF companies

Hola peeps: Limeade wth a kicker ? when I was spraying in the Spruce Budworm project on the Gaspe and Bathurst areas in the 50's, I returned one day to find the asphalt runway covered with wooden and metal stakes, I had an almost impossible time to avoid running into one of them and wrecking my Aircraft.

When I aske just wot-n-l was going on, I was infomed that the area had just been opened for staking based upon a gov't mineralogical survey map, and they went at it uncontrollably. Answering My further questions, I was informed that Surface rights are one thing, mineral and water rights are another, but that in general mineral rights are over simple, unoccupied, surface rights ???

Frankly I considered the air field as occupied sheesh.
