That was an excellent summation of things that I already knew, but had put into the back of my mind. The familiarity factor.

Here in Mexico i can daily see 'exactly' what you are talking about, where Canadian companies have left an ongoing sewer in many of their abandoned mining operations.

Hoov is correct in the actual processing, and you are correct in the ancillary operations, the total is sometimes not very pretty.

Since I have had the unique opportunity of exploring in various regions of the world, I have seen and lived in pristine areas. and later have seen them after man has entered. the before and after comparative picture is not very nice.

Unfortunately until man has managed to curb his procreative urge, this will only get worse.
