Sudbury Novice: "The people of Greece are learning teh hard way what happens when a country is living beyond it's means. How long will it take Canada to get there at this rate?"
and Mmss: "what Canada's Governments do with all the tax dollars we give them thats right......WASTE IT...SO THEY CAN ASK , OR TAKE MORE"
Many of the people of Europe who are paying for Greek spending and debt have not learned that lesson.
Canada is also living beyond it's means only it is not to the same extent as Greeks due to having richer resources.
How long does it take for Canadians to realize that when over 40% of one's income is used to pay for governmental sevices, that is also living beyond the means. That is where the government debt comes from and the interest payments on that debt.
If it were not for those excesses I stipulate that Canadian $ should be now worth about 1.50US$.
And US debt, well I will not go there to keep this off topic posting short.
Keegann: "that's democracy in that you can eventually vote those in office, out."
Well rarely eventually. We keep voting politicians in who are demonstrated to be getting us into deeper trouble.
So perhaps it is us the voters who are mostly to blame for not doing our own research before elections.
Live well and prosper Babjak.
