From a mine developer's point of view, I think people are underestimating the time, resources, and money required to develop a portal in this type of environment. Not to mention the costs of getting equipment, materials, and manpower to this type of remote location. Just collaring a portal in this swamp land will be very costly. So much work is going to be needed to hold back water flows and poor ground conditions to make the access point, well, for a lack of a better term, accessible. I think the challenges of actual mine development is what people are failing to recognize.
