But thinking about any future infrastructure commitment by the current Provincial government, especially a commitment to an E/W corridor, I took a look at the current MPPs in the area. Of the 7 ridings, in the north, only two are liberal and 5 are NDP. (PCs have none) The two liberal ridings, Thunder Bay Atikonkan (Mauro) and Thunder Bay Superior North (Gravelle) were won with margins of rougly 5% and 10%. The NDP margins in the other 5 ridings is higher.
If the mandarins in the Liberal party wanted maximum benefit in any upcoming election, would they be cynical enough to hold off any infrastructure announcement until an election were imminent? I know this would be totally without precedent......
