Golder Associates has opened a new office in Thunder Bay to meet growing demand for the organization’s environmental services in northern Ontario. The office, located at 1139 Alloy Drive, opened on June 3, 2013. A local team of highly skilled professionals will support clients within the mining and power industries in addition to the provision of geotechnical services. “We are both proud and excited to increase our presence in the heart of Ontario’s north,” said Sean McFarland, Managing Principal for GTA and Ontario Operations in a statement to media. “Aligned with our presence in Sudbury and Timmins, the Golder team is well positioned to build stronger ties locally and deliver engineering and environmental solutions that help our clients successfully achieve their objectives.” Hiring will be sourced locally to ensure strong understanding and timely response to local market needs particularly vital for areas experiencing high growth. Based on specific project and client requirements, this team is then supported by a global team of specialists who service clients worldwide.
