Pathetic story. You focus on the AMERICAN Cliffs. But, you conveniently do not mention the Canadian Largest Landholder in the ROF with TWO proven Deposits ...by the Name of Noront Resources. Perhaps some more research is in order for you. Noront is ALSO in negotiations with the government and does NOT have an open pit mine design. Perhaps a peek at www.eaglesnestmine.com might be in order?
It would be nice for you to have included the BIG player .. the CANADIAN company NORONT RESOURCES who has been doing EVERYTHING RIGHT.
Do some more homework and let people know Noront is NOT proposing an open pit mine...all underground with minimal footprint. How the heck you can leave out the "BIG CANADIAN COMPANY" from your story is beyond me.

Wow, this seems very one sided. Any reason there is no mention of Noront resources, the largest land holder in the ring? Especially considering they have a nickel deposit that makes the above article quite irrelevant. Underground mining can be done with this type of deposit.
