Bravo, by FAR the best and most logical post in a long while. Many of us realize this as well Rhammer.

I know of a few roads in an area not far from where I live that are used for both logging and mining extraction.......and NO, they are not billion dollar roads. Many people are simply trying to say that road is going to cost $1 billion and rail $1.5 billion in the attempts to sway naive folks into believing the cost is pretty much "same for same". In reality, no one, including provincial or federal government is comparing a six lane highway made of gold to a bare bones rail. Road to start, rail much later on.

As for the linear staked claims, I agree, it was clearly not for mining purposes and yes, it has thrown a monkey wrench into the ROF, wasting time and money as you suggest. It will get resolved, if it already hasn't....
