I think you guys got it wrong.
No trading after closure as I understand it.
What you have is late reporting of trades that occured before 4 pm closure.
Just consider a flood of trades and there is not sufficient time for their reporting, even if computers are involved.
I think there is a window for reporting a trade, not sure how long it is after 4 pm. I have seen even an hour after.
