George, I respect your opinions here on Agora. But everyone has an agenda. The Conn agenda is one sided as well and I choose to speak out against it like many here speak out against the Liberals and Trudeau. You can check my posting history. I don`t air my political views, until now that is.

It is true that I don`t know the history behind the oilsands except that we as CDNs are being gouged daily for gas. Yes, I watched the film and there is no narration. You as the viewer are allowed to reach your own conclusions rather than having a talking head spew off.

But if there is so much oil then why aren't we like the Saudi people who pay a pittance to fill up their tanks. Greed, that's why. I question why you would even defend the oil companies. There is cheaper technology available that gets squashed all the time by Big Oil.

All the Conns have brought me was Diefenbaker, Mulroney and now Harper. No legacies in that bunch. The best was Joe Clark whom I admired as a true statesman, not unlike Pierre Trudeau.

And I welcome Mr Flaherty to cross the floor to the Liberals. If I'm not mistaken, he hasn't been charged with any crimes (TFIC).
