You do know that noront will have a huge open pit mine and tailings dam when we exploit the chromite deposit right? At least the oil sands removes the bitumen and reclaims the land back to natural state which unfortunately Greenpeace didn't show in their video. Noront will be leaving a huge open pit that will evetually fill with water when the mining is done.

Greenpeaces claim that they need 3 barrels of water for a barrel of oil is correct, but the water is reused over and over and over and over again. They don't need brand new fresh water for each barrel of oil.
