first off. Sorry for the caps. I’m not yelling here. for some reason this format copied for the NOT website won’t let me chacge them? & I apolojize for the formating, it’s always a pain here. Anyway, while we wait for something to happen. I was curious when was the last time NOT put out drill results & thought I’d go back & check.. Below is a list of all the NOT new realease headings c/w dates of issue. lets have a look…. 2013-12-20 - Noront Takes Another Step Forward in Ring of Fire Development 2013-12-11 - Noront Announces Change in Year End and Grant of Stock Options 2013-11-20 - Noront Reaffirms Plans for Ring of Fire 2013-10-31 - Noront Announces Closing of Private Placement and Issuance of Interest Shares 2013-09-24 - Noront Announces Appointment of President and CEO 2013-08-15 - Noront Announces Closing of Sale of Its Interest in the Windfall Lake Property 2013-07-15 Noront Announces Grant of Stock Options and Issuance of Interest Shares 2013-07-02 - Noront Resources Welcomes Appointment of Provincial Ring of Fire Negotiator 2013-06-28 - Noront Announces Agreement for the Sale of Its Interest in the Windfall Lake Project 2013-06-12 - Noront Announces Ring of Fire Still Good to Go 2013-05-01 - Noront Announces Results of the Special Meeting of Shareholders 2013-04-24 - Noront Announces Issuance of Interest Shares 2013-04-19 - Noront Announces an Agreement to Extend the Windfall Lake Option Agreement with Eagle Hill 2013-03-22 - Noront Announces Changes to Board of Directors 2013-03-04 - Ring of Fire Aboriginal Training Alliance Announced Today 2013-03-01 - Noront to Present at PDAC on Tuesday, March 5 2013-02-26 - Noront Closes US$15.0 Million Loan Facility with Resource Capital Fund V 2013-01-21 - Noront Announces Appointment of Interim Chief Executive Officer 2012-12-20 - Noront Clarifies Position on Windfall Lake 2012-12-19 - Noront Announces Additional Information Regarding RB Milestone Group Agreement 2012-12-19 - Noront Announces the Retention of RB Milestone Group 2012-12-05 - Noront Announces Agreement on Sale of Windfall Lake Interest 2012-10-19 - Noront Introduces Tom Anselmi As a New Director 2012-09-05 - Noront Releases Positive Feasibility Study for Eagle's Nest Project 2012-08-23 - Mining Movie Making Youth Camp 2012-07-19 - Noront Grants Options Ah… There it is. Wes Hanson, President and CEO notes: "The winter drill program successfully intersected nickel sulphide mineralization at AT2 that previous airborne geophysical surveys had not identified. Drilling at AT12 intersected long, down-hole intervals averaging from 0.2% to 0.7% nickel within an ultramafic intrusive measuring approximately 200 metres in width and has been traced over a strike length of 1,200 metres to an average depth of 400 metres. The resulting exploration target (1) may host 150 to 300 million tonnes of 0.25% nickel. Within this exploration target are zones of higher-grade nickel sulphide mineralization with associated copper, platinum and palladium, ranging from 1.0% to 4.0% nickel. The Company is currently examining these high grade intersections relative to the geological model developed for the camp to determine the geological continuity of these zones, an effort that will continue throughout the summer." Mr. Hanson adds: "The Company is also actively evaluating the potential economic benefit(s) related to recent government of Ontario announcements on infrastructure development in northwestern Ontario. Provincial participation in infrastructure development is welcomed news as is participation by other industry partners."
1. The reader is cautioned that:
a. the potential quantity and grade is conceptual in nature;
b. there has been insufficient exploration to define a mineral resource; and
c. it is uncertain if further exploration will identify a mineral resource.

2012-03-20 - Noront Triples Chromite Resource In Ring Of Fire
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: March 20, 2012NORONT TRIPLES CHROMITE RESOURCE IN RING OF FIRE Toronto, Ontario, March 20, 2012. Noront Resources Ltd. (“Noront” or the “Company”)(TSX Venture: NOT) is pleased to announce an updated, independent Mineral Resource
Estimate for it’s 100% owned Blackbird chromite deposit at the Company’s McFaulds Lake Project, in the Ring of Fire, James Bay Lowlands, Ontario.
Micon International Ltd. (“Micon”), an independent consulting engineering company, completed the resource estimate. The estimate is classified according to the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (“CIM”) Definition Standards on Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves which have been incorporated by reference in the Canadian Securities Administrators (“CSA”) National Instrument 43-101, Standards for Disclosure for Mineral Projects.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Indicated Resource 11.2 M tonnes averaging 34.36% Cr2O3 and 1.95 Cr:Fe
Measured and Indicated Resource 20.5 M tonnes averaging 35.76% Cr2O3 and 1.97 Cr:Fe
Inferred Resource 23.5 M tonnes averaging 33.14% Cr2O3 and 1.97 Cr:Fe
Wes Hanson, CEO of Noront states: “Drilling at Blackbird exceeded expectations, resulting in a tripling of the previous resource estimate at Blackbird but more importantly, converting a large percentage of the deposit to the measured and indicated classification. The updated estimate demonstrates that Blackbird is similar in size and grade to the nearby Big Daddy and Black Thor chromite deposits. The close proximity of Blackbird to our flagship Eagle’s Nest nickel sulphide deposit offers exceptional synergies as both deposits can be exploited using the same underground infrastructure, limiting the incremental capital cost while minimizing the environmental footprint. The Company intends to complete an internal evaluation of a northwest
Ontario based mine, mill and smelter facility capable of producing between 200,000 and 250,000 tonnes of high quality ferrochrome annually, approximately equal to current North American imports, which originate from South Africa.”

NOT-11-1G239 intersected 11.5 metres averaging 35.88% Cr2O3 at a 2.01:1 Cr to Fe ratio
Wes Hanson, CEO of Noront states: “While drilling to increase the chromite resource at Blackbird continued to return excellent results, the discovery of two new zones of nickel sulphide mineralization, within 500 metres of Eagleʼs Nest, highlights the tremendous exploration potential of this area. Both zones of nickel sulphide mineralization were identified by a new, ground based geophysical survey that was completed in November. In light of the results, Management decided to expand the survey area to include the Eagle Two and AT12 areas and raised additional flow through funds to drill test the resulting targets during the first quarter of 2012.” Mr. Hanson also added: “The Eagleʼs Nest Feasibility Study is progressing on time and on budget as is the resource update and Preliminary Assessment of the Blackbirdchromite deposit. We continue to work closely with all levels of government to identify an environmentally and socially responsible plan for infrastructure development in northwestern Ontario that will allow Noront to meet its objective of commercial nickel production by 2016.”
So with in a 5 month span we had these news releases on drill results. Noront has some big news coming on as follow up drilling programs get under way..
Here’s my question. It is my understanding that once Exploration companies start reporting drill results, they have to continue to release the news on the findings or could NOT have been drilling anytime with in the last 18.5 months & stock piling the results?
Could some, from a “position of knowing” the rules, enlighten me pls.? Hebe PS. this format sucks! Makes my long posts even longer. =0)
