How would you feel? Company ABC offers to shareholders.

Company ABC has offered to buy NOT at a 37% premium to NOT's average price over past month of 55 cents, representing 75 cents per share.
ABC already has a stake in NOT.

ABC commented:
We believe this is a compelling offer for NOT shareholders as it provides an opportunity for them to realise certain value for their shares at a significant premium to current market prices... at a time of uncertainty.

NOT's board of directors has refused the offer due to it not meeting reality of expected value, so ABC offeres directly to the shareholders.

Not many eons ago companies were bought out at 50 to 100% above trading price, now 30+% is common.
Like it or not, such is current reality.
