Edgy, why don't you actually read what I posted? Here, again is the relevant bit "Those communities envisage a 'normal' road where anyone can drive at any time, and not a private haul route where private access is limited and likely dangerous. CLF would have no hesitation in getting their road built with Govt money and backing from certain chiefs & their people, and then saying 'sorry, you can't use it. Show us where we promised you could, in writing.'

The people, other than CLF, who are pushing for a n-s road dont seem to understand what CLF wants. I agree with you, this wouldn't be safely or comfortably usable by light vehicles. Perhaps because someone from CLF mislead them, I don't know. Again, my opinion only.
