My understanding is that KWG staked the linear claims along the esker route as a prelude to a N-S railway which would be available for all companies to utilize, and that Cliffs preferred a N-S road, and that KWG was/is concerned about any one company having sole usage/control of whatever N-S mode might be chosen. I would assume that the N-S corridor might possibly be wide enough to accomodate a service road, but definitely not both a railway and a high-tonnage truck "industrial" road
I believe that KWG has come onside in thinking that an E-W road would in fact be the best and most viable initial access to the ROF. ..I believe that several East-westerly road/power transmission options have also been proposed
Many on this forum have been touting that option/scenario all along....E-W road, followed by N-S rail, with subsequent access roads branching off the N-S rail route
Cheers,
Luker
