and all because of irish's last post which got me fired up a little so i wrote a quick note to ms wynne and mr gravelle:
good day
here is an excerpt, this one from the northern miner, dated september 3:
Noront is currently in the environmental permitting stage at Eagle’s Nest. The company completed a harmonized environmental assessment (EA) and environmental impact statement (EIS) in December. While the federal government has been actively working on the EIS, the province has lagged on the EA. The company has asked the Ontario government to approve the terms of reference and start the EA review this fall.
and once again yet another example of the provincial government to start things in the rof.
it took the minister 60 days to make 4 phone calls to set up a committee of bureaucrats who have no knowledge of mining or road construction. there is no first nation represented. it's simply 4 people who cannot make any decisions about the rof and who will have to spend more time finding the right people with the knowledge.
it appears to many that it's no longer a matter of minister gravelle getting it right, but rather not getting it at all.
totally underwhelming was the response to this 60 day announcement and a very poor showing indeed for the provincial government.
sincerely

some of the 'facts' may be off on my part but time does seem to be moving for everyone but the liberals.
i assume i'll be moving to alberta where the provincial gov't is more stable. maybe bc where everything is running smoothly. maybe....
