May I point out the other side of that argument:

Why have the natives not stated their suggestions two, and could have even been five, years ago as to where they wanted the roads?

They complain about lack of consultations but that street is bidirectional. In my opinion they have been grossely negligent about the roads. There is nothing sacred or time consuming about making a decision of where they prefer roads to go.

Surely they prefer that any road or roads be near, readily accessible and usable by them, or at least the majority of them. Of course any road built for the Ring can not be so routed that every community 100 Km either side is serviced. That is not practical and if insisted on they should pay part of the cost and keep in mind that a very curved road is costly and hazardous to transport on.

I in southern Ontario could devise a solution quite readily so in all this time they could not have up to now? Geeez!

It is high time that the province imposed a route and if they complain too bad, they had way too much time and the world can not wait for them to get on the band wagon.

Johnny come lately. Just a cause for complaining and having the cake served but not contributing to its delivery.

Ed.
