It passed the U.S. House of Representatives, a lap-dog to the fossil fuel plutocracy.

It goes to the U.S. Senate next, which likely will not pass it, but even if it does get passed by the Senate, it would very likely be vetoed by President Obama.

In the mean time, the cost of crude has fallen below the monetary cost of production of the tar sands.
