About Voiseys Bay, Babjak may be the one who knows best from her posting over the years.

As examples: I can say a bit about Osisko (OSK on TSX) who have a Canadian Malartic mine in northern Quebec. They had to move about 50 homes due to mining location being directly underneath but other than that I do not remember any serious problems or delays.

Another is Canadian Zinc (CZN on TSX) who are opening an underground Prairie Creek mine in Northwest Territory. That location is next to a park so there were some environmental issues i.e. delays, but that seems resolved.

There was delayed and probably cancelled project due to environmental issues in northern BC a few years back, but I never owned it so do not know the details.

No I do not often find problems. What problems there are, are usually environmental and in some fewer cases with native claims and demands.

I have never come across anything similar to Ontario and Ottawa as pertaining to the Ring. Here I suspect convergence of former premier of Ontario (Wynne just inherited, imo) and present prime minister of Canada are the cause, and elephants do not forget or forgive.

However when it comes to forums such as this one, tiffs do break out on occasion, but that is also typical due to human nature.

Ed.
