Seahawks there is nothing deceiving, ONTC is simply not for sale and it was stated that it never was for about a year. Maybe it is a method of Ontario saying that the possible offer is not good enough but I doubt it.

Only deception is that you deceived yourself with your enthusiasm when a few on this forum said to take it easy.
No I am not trying to pur cold water on your view, just calm down, things will smooth out in the end and patience does it.

Some of the possible players have to wake up and compromise because up to now, as Paliman says, each 4 year old wants to have the shovel and pail in the sand box.

On the other hand Seahawks, the notion is not completely dead, so do not give up. No buying of ONTC ( and looks like of any portion). But perhaps a partnership or just a connection to the northern railway may be possible if someone steps up and builds the Ring to Musonee portion. Mushkegowuk and partners could be just the ones to do it.

Like a pendulum, this issue will swing back and forth until it settles to a compromise.
