Did it occur to any body that all this could be that present cook gave notice of leaving for better job and Noront is just looking for a replacement.

Noront has assets that need looking after so it should be no surprise to anyone that there would be several bodies looking after things and they sleep, eat and on occasion need basic medical looking after.
