i just sent the following to tvo/steve pakin
dear mr. pakin
i believe most people involved in the ring of fire are fed up with minister gravelle and his mantra, 'getting it right' when referring to the development of the ring. his mantra is synonymous with inaction or inability to make any decisions to get the ring moving forward. his development committee, formed months ago with 4 bureaucrats, does not have the expertise to make any decisions and therefore has not done so.
there are revenue dollars and jobs waiting for the provincial government to get into action but they wait in a catatonic state, blaming the federal government or saying, 'we've got to get it right'.
a project of this magnitude will never have all the pieces together at the start and will be a work in progress. but it must be started!!! and mr. gravelle does not appear to be up to the job to get this magnificent opportunity out of the talking stage.
we know what has to be done, why doesn't he?
sincerely
