Julia Bond julia.bond@norontresources.com Hello Roger, I am the President and CEO of Noront. Thanks for your enquiry and for being a shareholder.
Right now we are trying to get our Eagle's Nest project permitted despite the provincial government's de facto moratorium on permits while they negotiate the Regional Framework Agreement (RFA) with the Matawa tribal council.
We think that the RFA is a worthwhile endeavour and that defining the way that the province works with First Nations in the resource sector for the next 100 years is important.
This negotiation will no doubt take a long time and for that reason we are urging the province to advance our permitting at the same time while honouring the spirit of the RFA.
We are also working with the province, the FNs and the Feds to get them together and endorse our E-W road proposal. We recently got their support and we have now two levels of government and four First Nations communities supporting our access corridor.
The timelines that we are working on see commercial production at Eagles Nest in late 2018 after a three year construction period. The E-W road construction can take place concurrent to the mine work. All of this implies mobilizing up the winter road in the winter of 2015-16 which in turn implies that we have permits in place by this time.
I hope this answers your questions. If you would like to contact us in the future, the best contact is Julia Bond who is copied on this e-mail. She will make sure your enquiries are brought to my attention.

Alan Coutts President & CEO
