Perhaps a minor point, but the recent negative statements about the CLF asset purchase were made by representatives of just two of the Matawa communities. The others haven't commented, that I've heard, which means they are either neutral on this or may actually like the transfer to NOT. Some are currently busy with the study on infrastructure, which will involve NOT's proposed road to the ROF as well as to their locations. This east-west route won't directly benefit some, particularly (surprise) those who made the complaints.
