Full-Time Ring of Fire Regional Coordinator

Under the direction of the Lands & Resources Director, the Ring of Fire (ROF) Regional Coordinator is responsible for organizing and coordinating the involvement of the Mushkegowuk communities in the Ring of Fire development. The Coordinator will ensure that the Mushkegowuk First Nations are aware of and involved in all aspects of the planning and environmental assessment processes related to proposed mines and related infrastructure in the Ring of Fire region.
The Coordinator will oversee the organization and implementation of all community consultations with regards to the Ring of Fire development and the supervision of the Community Coordinators in the communities most affected. The Coordinator will act as the key liaison person and will be responsible for maintaining communications regarding the ROF initiative with the Council of Chiefs, project staff, professional support persons, ROF Community Coordinators, the membership of the Mushkegowuk First Nations, the Crown, proponents, the media and the general public.
The Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Director of Lands and Resources. The Coordinator will assist the Director of Lands and Resources with regards to other areas of the ROF project including communicating with professional consultants, maintenance of budgets and financial statements and all reporting requirements. Salary to commensurate with experience. Closing Date is April 30, 2015 @4pm.
