Hey Seahawks, who's your broker/bank?
Also, I applaud you for selling some at profit. I've been on both sides of the trade lately, also trying to get out some. Then the chromite bomb hit, road study. So... you know it's going up from here at this point right? This is the new low until June - then it depends if there's still "progress" or not. Same as last year ... because everyone is just waiting for the damn go-ahead. If it doesn't, back down we go, and hard. Same if this chromite deal doesn't go through. If our Terms of Reference aren't approved soon, the EA is going to take longer than we have to start this coming winter. JUST ANOTHER REPEAT!
BeenThere : These Aboriginals are getting the second best deal of their lives right now and they are playing hard ball.
First deal got them communal reserves while still being able to roam for subsitence as they did before, with added benefits. This was fantastic since there was no concept of "Tilte" for them, despite what the courts would have you believe. The notion of Title was imported along with those pesky immigrants. So here's some free stuff, we won't kill each other and here's Jesus and a benevolent King. Obviously, Aboriginals have a different take on it now. Yet we can't go to reserves without "permission" but they can roam freely anywhere and within our great cities.
Second deal will give them even more shared revenue than "other" Ontarians/Canadians along with paved roads, internet, hydro etc to their pristine cottage country homes. If that's not enough, preferential jobs, contracts and training - all ethnically-based. So much for "whitey," meaning any non-aboriginal, in Pickle Lake.
In conclusion, I think that's enough - Province needs to wrap-up this Framework Agreement ... or at least hit first base with Coutts along side of it. Aboriginals are getting another revenue stream out of thin air and get to enjoy the loon on the lake. I'm jealous!
