Message: Re: Sonny Gagnon attended hearing yesterday

"Al Zaibak, who did not respond to requests for comment, has no discernible mining experience. However, multiple sources believe he is working with Bill Boor, a former senior executive at Cliffs. Boor used to be in charge of Cliffs’ Ring of Fire development plans, meaning he is well-acquainted with the assets and the stakeholders. Two First Nations communities near the Ring of Fire are also backing Al Zaibak."

So...now we have this...

"The leaders assert there is a bidder who not only has First Nation support, but has a superior bid that will benefit Cliffs' creditors and help advance the Chromite project for Ontario."

The question of who has the superior bid is well explained in the court documents. Secondly, they talk about helping to advance the chromite project "for Ontario", but, in the very next sentence they say this....

"we will do everything in our capacity to make sure that no ore will ever leave our backyards without the meaningful involvement and participation of all Matawa First Nations"

ok...so on the topic of involvement and participation....at the current time, Noront, the province and the feds appear to working with other FN....in what appears to be meaningful involvement and participation....perhaps contra to other FN that prefer another route.

What this all comes down to is one group of FN against another group of FN....all wanting what is best for only them....with no care in the world for the other FN groups that stand to benefit...more.

Let's face it....all will benefit in one way or another...some more than others.
