Message: Noront Resources Appoints Steve Flewelling as Senior Vice President, Mining & Pr

Dutchmen,

Now we have another ex-Xstrata member to add to Noront.

Stephen Flewelling was VP projects engineering in 2006 at Falconbridge...During this same time Ian Pearce, (now partner at X2) was Chief operating officer at Falconbridge.

Mick Davis at the time was CEO at Xstrata. Xstrata bought out Falconbridge in 2006.

Mick Davis and Ian Pearce are now together at ...X2.

When you listen to the AGM video you will hear Alan Coutts mention they are now looking at putting the mill at surface since they have higher ground due to acquisition.

AND...rather than bulk concentrate...they are now looking at separate nickel copper concentrates.

The 2012 feasibility at Eagles nest is being "re-done".

Sounds like the product to utilize would be this:

"Vancouver, BC – MineSense™ Technologies Limited is pleased to announce the completion of the evaluation tool – “PreCalculatOre” in conjunction with XPS (Xstrata Process Support) and the Centre of Excellence in Mining Innovation (CEMI). PreCalculatOre is a combined process and analytical cost modeling tool that can assess the potential economic benefits of applying ore pre-concentration techniques to existing or new mines.

“We are excited to introduce ‘PreCalculatOre’ to the mining industry,” says Dr. Andrew Bamber"

Oh...and not to forget...Ian Pearce, x2 became a director at Minesense a year ago.

MineSense’s bulk sorting solutions ensure the transport of only high value ore to downstream processes, improving extraction and recovery while reducing overall costs to the operation,” stated MineSense Chairman Ian Pearce, Partner at X2 Resources, past Chair of the Mining Association of Canada, and former CEO of Xstrata Nickel. “It’s about addressing quality issues upstream of these more cost-intensive processes, the impact of which reduces energy and water requirements, an aspect that is becoming ever more important to mining companies and communities at large.”

I'm sure the savings in using the minesense stuff will be good for Noront and also the First Nations will like the efforts made in the reduction of energy and water requirements.

March of this year while in Timmins...Tony Clement stated the following:

"you know we need a willing partner in the private sector ready to go all in. And that will happen. That will happen."

Can you think of a partner...sitting with lots of cash with experience in Nickel/copper/pge/chromite..... Someone with experience in Northern Ontario and FN relations? Someone with a few billion. Hmmmm who could that be??
