I concur, but would add...

The First Nations chronic boil-water advisory issue which was at the forefront pre-election, is unlikely to go away anytime soon. Like/agree with it or not , First Nations will most assuredly leverage that and other issues (i.e. MMIW) to ensure that the Ring of Fire and other resource projects will not gain any traction unless there are firm plans/ commitments/timelines in place for this and other issues to be addressed concomitantly.

Just as we would like to couch the development of the Eagles' Nest deposit as a sort of first-base hit to garner social license for the further development of the entire ring of Fire, the Feds will need a step-wise/staged plan to address these issues and thus garner First Nations trust. Any wishes/beliefs that ignore this political reality are highly naieve IMHO. (most certainly our CEO is well-versed regarding these issues and walks a diplomatic tightrope)

Cheers,

Luker
