If there was no chromite in the Ring I would completely agree but the chromite, I mean it's value, completely dominates the nickel ore.
If Noront discovers an 'Eagle 2' ( and I expect many various discoveries to come) then it's effect imo would only be temporary and, in weeks or at least months, it would be a return to where we are today.
That does not mean I am against the present decision to drill, far from it. The exploration is a good answer to the impase that the company is in now. The company not only explores but through this action is potentially supporting share price.
As for the E-W road, it or one in the vicinity, is needed even if the Ring discovery was not made. Imo the Eagle mine alone should be enough to push the construction of the road and not by Noront but by the province combined with Ottawa.
The chromite needs rail ( N-S route best) and it should be justified on the strenght of the chromite deposits, nickel ore alone is not enough to justify the cost.
