Message: Partner or Enemy?

All this is just meaningless talk without any definitions or long-term thinking.

For example what does this mean?

We can be the best damn partner you’ve ever had in development, or we can be your worst damn enemy.”

The best damn partner any company could have is one who is hard working, has expertise, and is willing to invest money in a project. So what exactly would the natives be bringing to the table that would make them the best darn partner?

Another much used and undefined word is “ traditional”. What exactly do the natives mean by this? Is indoor plumbing traditional?

How about revenue sharing? Is this profit sharing or cash flow sharing? How much needs to be shared, 50%?

How do the natives envision the future? How are they going to manage when their population doubles or triple and the ore runs out? Are we the tax-payers going to be stuck supporting 75,000 natives rather than 25,000 we have now living on reservations in NW Ontario. What about the longer term when there are a million natives on 49 reservations with no means of self support? Think about it.
