Bisson also criticized the lack of progress in the Ring of Fire development, the future of which is only vaguely spelled out in the province’s mineral development strategy.

“We’ve been talking, talking, talking, and there’s nothing concrete that’s happened in the Ring of Fire since the government first said it was a priority of theirs eight years ago,” he said. “Cliff Resources have walked away, Noront Resources is having difficulty getting their permitting and if we don’t get that resolved, who knows what they’re going to do?”
