Sudbury letter: Liberals incompetent

http://www.thesudburystar.com/2015/12/09/sudbury-letter-liberals-incompetent

letter to Premier Kathleen Wynne:

I am sending this out of a serious concern for our democratic process in Ontario.

I wonder whether you, as politicians with such great responsibilities, actually take these responsibilities seriously.

Your government, Premier Wynne, and that of your immediate predecessor, have demonstrated a complete disregard for the people of Ontario, present and, especially, future.

As the auditor general points out, to no thinking person's surprise, you have mismanaged the province's electrical assets. In arrogance, you now are selling off a large portion of these assets, so you can blame past government sins on new private sector owners. Really -- $37 billion in mismanagement with more to come,

More than "shame on you". Your actions are a disgrace.

You are selling a tremendous resource for short-term gain, because you have proven that you have neither the will nor the ability to make it better.

You cannot hide your gas plant boondoggles, asset mismanagement and incompetence by tucking it in someone else's cupboard.

How can one have anything but contempt and disappointment in the political process when it is managed in such a frivolous, partisan and incompetent manner.

Glenn Thibeault (Sudbury MPP), you should be embarrassed and ashamed for jumping on this bandwagon - where is your integrity?

One last shot across the bow: How can you have a committee, examining possibilities for the Ring of Fire that is made up of politicians and bureaucrats without a single representative from the mining community or the indigenous people directly affected?

Jim Elliott, Sudbury
