I've read it but it does not go far enough in terms of compensating the natives for loss of control over their own destiny. There have to be counterbalancing concessions made such as a Federal political system that guarantees them representation in government. As things now stand there are not enough natives to be able to exercise any political power outside of their reservations. The natives welcomed the outsiders into their home and now that they are outnumbered the outsiders are telling them what do, that unfairness as to be addressed. Many forget that Canada was founded by not two groups, but three: the The French, the English and the Natives.
