Message: bout the FN's

If I remember my Canadian history correctly didn't the First Nations help the English against the French in the 7 years war?

They also helped a fledgling British/Canadian contingent fight the Americans and helped establish the borders that we now have!

Did they not act as guides to the N.W. Company and the Hudson Bay Company in exploration and establishing fur trading routes through out future Canada and the U.S.A..

In WWI up to 4000 FN's signed up to fight under the Canadian and 50 were decorated for combat bravery they were mainly used as scouts and snipers infact a native from Parry Sound Island was the most decorated and a Metis named Henry Norwest was accredited to 115 kills as a sniper and 2 brothers (Alex & Charles Smith) from the 6 nations were given the Military Cross for bravery.

In WW II up to 200,00 signed up to fight under the Canadian Ensign with over 200+ deaths fought in the army in various positions alone due to language barriers and education and descrimination facures (with some reservations emptying of men of fighting age!)

"LEST WE FORGET"
