Based on what I have read on various BB's, articles, piecing together NR's, etc, suggests that a lot is riding on the $1 Billion the Ont gov't "promised" for the ROF. It seems though, that in the recent Auditor Generals report, that doesn't exist.

What are your thoughts with respect to the $1 Billion that was promised, do you think its actually there or is it going to be reprioritized?

Lou on SH (God help him) makes the case that those funds are not there and never were (though I think they were but simply have been reprioritized once the majority government was won). Some are also theorizing that if KWG strikes an agreement on Rail infrastructure and offtake agreements, it will pave the way on the N/S route to the Chromite deposits and make FN's happy as it will connect communities, leaving that $1 Billion allocated for other needs like improving standards of living for first nations or transit in the GTA. My view is that the promises for funds were to buy votes, and Lou's theory here seems to make a lot of sense cause if there is a way for the Liberals to not spend on the ROF, they will find it. Interested to see what the thoughts are from the people here and where this would leave NOT with Eagles Nest or if it would have any impact at all? I think this deserves some consideration.
