Fedeli: Wynne Liberals giving federal Liberals easy ride over Ring of Fire

Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli is accusing the Ontario Liberals of letting the federal Liberals off the hook over the Ring of Fire. Fedeli says the Ontario budgets in 2014 and 2015 committed $1 billion to the Ring of Fire as long as the federal government also committed $1 billion.
But Fedeli says a closer examination of the Wynne Liberal’s 2016 budget removes the federal condition. Fedeli claims the Ontario Liberals used the Ring of Fire to beat up on the Harper Tories, when they were in power, for not committing money to the chromite site.
He says now that Liberal Justin Trudeau is Prime Minister, Wynne is easing up on the criticism. Fedeli is accusing Wynne of playing partisan politics.
He adds northerners should not expect to hear major developments from the Ontario Liberals on the chromite site until the next provincial election in 2018.
