Message: Northern Ontario’s Ring of Fire needs a road, not rail, Noront CEO asserts

"Remember, ON is broke" & "bogus cover for a litany of broken ROF promises" Yet they are not broke when it means rail services for Mississauga. Did Ontario brake a promise to them? Obviously it is a matter of votes and ellection pr.

A chinese company will not fund railway unless there is a financial return to them, so only return is a piece of the chromite unless our governments wake up and pay up, fat chance = not in their nature. So one company builds while another could do the funding provided we sign over some of the chromite. So chromite export ban can not hold water. Either we export or no railway funding.
That is the only option left to us from the incompetance of our governments.

I suspect (did not do any ball park calculations ) chromite is still economical, just not as much as a few years ago. But what do economics have to do with it IF in some future date the Only source in both Americas is badly needed. It would be a strategic decision and it can not become a fact with a drop of a hat.

Infrastructures and mine building takes time so... these have to be built ahead of that time.
Ok I'll agree economics and politics do dictate the time frame for these events.
