Message: A few points in this Road vs Rail discussion

First, nothing will get done without the backing of the various FN. With that in mind, roads need to get build as a very first step in improving the lives of many. I believe the Feds will come through with that as a start. Afterwards, Noront may be responsible for running their road off the main road to their camp.

Second, regarding permitting. We have waited a long time for the go-ahead with respect to just the eagle's nest mine. Permitting with respect to the chrome is years away.

Third, KWG does not control any chrome deposit at all as of this date. They have yet to fulfill their exploration requirements to get control of FNC claims yet. Furthermore, in their most recent financing, focus seems to be shifting from completing that obligation to ground work for the rail. So, only Noront and Probe control the chrome deposits to date....and FNC still isn't required to give up control of their deposit either, which may someday go to either KWG or Bold.

Fourth, I think that the Chinese are as interested in KWG's technology for processing the chrome as they are in the actual chrome. Otherwise, why would they not deal with Noront or Probe who do control chrome deposits. How are they repaid for the construction costs for the rail if not for some offtake agreement or fee to ship the chrome...a deal which KWG could not make at this time.

Conclusion:

The chrome is years away....and so is the rail...think of the permitting involved there. Help for the FN is more immediate, which will come from the Federal government. You can package that however you want, but it will come in the form of some roads, which will be a first step and a benefit to both the FN and the mining companies.

Within the various FN's....there are competing interests. Although we can satisfy some by building the east west road, those that follow along the north south route don't want to wait longer for their transportation corridor. So, do we provide immediate satisfaction to those with a road, only to put in rail at a later date?

Just a few points that come to mind....comments are welcome.
