The Ring Of Fire … by all objective estimates, is estimated to be worth hundreds of billions of dollars. Enough financial benefit to go around for investors, government coffers, first nations and Northern Ontario workers for 100 years … and probably much longer. The Huffington Post summarizes it as follows:

And yet, the powers that be sit idly by with their studies and discussions and studies and phantom commitments. Why? That’s a conversation we’ll have another day. In the meantime, KWG Resources President and CEO Frank Smeenk isn’t waiting around and now taking matters into his own hands. In November 2015, has signed a deal with China Rail to look at building a transportation corridor to handle ore and other potential mining operations in the Ring of Fire … and that woke up everybody.
