" and wished like crazy the ROF had Iron ore" It does! It is called the Thunderbird deposit which is basically magnetite with vanadium and titanium. It has been promoted as vanadium deposit but contains about 30% iron. Also the pyrrhotite which contains the Ni-Cu-pgms is also a possible source of iron.
