These mega projects will probably have big red numbers associated with them for the first 10-20 years of development. But these mega investments will leave a legacy for generations to benefit from long term. We are too tentative here in Ontario to make these strategic decisions alone. We need the private investment from outside sources to realize the golden opportunity in front of us. Look at the 407 toll highway, we gave it away for next to nothing to a Foreign Spanish co. Who had the balls to buy it and hold onto it and make the long term investment to profit from it for the next 100 years. All great mega projects that make big money. The ROF is no exception. Forget subways, no that's small time,old news and causes all kinds of traffic chaos. Our governments would be better off investing the subway money in 1 of these mega projects.
