Message: Road versus Rail, or both?

Someone correct me if am wrong on any of these regarding connection to communities:

1.N/S route to Marten falls and probably Eabametoong (Fort Hope)
2.Noront E/W to Webequie, Nibinamik, Neskatanga and Eabametoong (Fort Hope)
3.KWG E/W to Neskatanga and Eabametoong (Fort Hope)

On one map I saw KWG's showed also to Marten Falls and Webequie but those distances are quite long and if so then Noront's similar distances could also include Wunnumin, Kingfisher and perhaps even Wawakapewin.

By any stretch of the imagination Noront's would serve more communities and therefore should be preferred by the NAN group.

Yes none of these roads connect directly to any of these communities. The roads are to be main ones and the communities to be connected to them by branch roads. I think the natives would want for their branches to be as short as possible so it is distance plus number of communities connected that is the main factor.
