Pay for performance is fine if you are in control of things, which Al is not. The natives are in control and they should get paid for performance. Noront has to pay more to be able to find and keep someone who can put up with the B.S. and not lose their cool. Al continues to amaze me, I would have lost my cool a long time ago.
