There was NO pay reduction needed to get those.

If I worked for the company and was given free options previously over the years and believed nothing was currently going on....I'd rather keep the salary unchanged...for now...and profit from the vat of previous free options already given to me....at some point down the road.

The only way I would take a "voluntary" pay cut this year would be if I saw a bigger return to me this year....
